Privacy Policy

Odyssey is a writing app built on a simple premise: your words belong to you. The app has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, no accounts, and no server operated by us that ever sees your writing.

What Odyssey collects

Nothing. Odyssey does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our behalf. There is no telemetry of any kind.

Where your writing goes

Your library is stored where you choose during setup:

• On this device — your writing never leaves the device.
• iCloud — synced through your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy terms; only your Apple ID can access it.
• Your own database or server (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, or a self-hosted Odyssey Sync API) — data flows directly from your device to infrastructure you control. We are never in the path.

Credentials

Database passwords, API tokens, and cloud keys you enter are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are used only to connect to the storage you configured.
